Join us for our 3rd year of The Heat - An International Improv Comedy Showcase hosted by The Improv Centre on Granville Island in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This 5-day festival will celebrate a myriad of talent from across the globe and YOU could be part of it! Two international teams will perform short form improv in the first half of each show, showcasing their unique team dynamics, followed by an all-play second half or a 35 minute International team showcase! Teams will continue to mix and mingle throughout the week until we create a closing night LOL-apalooza! Participate in workshops, activities and jams, meet fellow performers and improv-enthusiasts from around the world and revel in the joy of yes, and! We want to see what you've got! So...will YOU bring THE HEAT?
For successful applicants, The Improv Centre will cover up to 5 nights of hotel accommodations/per diems and up to 75% of flight/travel cost for three performers. Teams must be available for a minimum of 3 nights of performances and perform primarily in English.
We encourage international troupes to apply. Successful applicants who need to travel to Vancouver will be provided with a travel subsidy depending on distance/length of stay.
