Volunteer Opportunities

As a non-for-profit charity, The Improv Centre is grateful for the wonderful volunteers who help make our shows possible. We are always looking for new additions to our volunteer community!

Responsibilities:

  • Greeting patrons and assisting with check-in’s as patrons enter the theatre.
  • Showing patrons to their assigned seats.
  • Assisting the Managers on Duty between and after shows to clear the theatre of patrons and glassware.
  • Ensuring there are no pictures or videos taken during the shows by patrons.
  • Crowd monitoring and reporting behaviour to the Manager on Duty.

Volunteer opportunities are available during regular weekly shows as well as special events.

Requirements:

  • As a licensed establishment, all volunteers must be 19+ years old.
  • Attend one training session at The Improv Centre prior to first volunteer shift.
  • Volunteers must commit to at least 1 shift per month for benefits to stay active.

What days are you available to volunteer?
Volunteer shifts run in the evenings, starting at 6:15pm. Sunday – Thursday, they end at 9:15pm. Fridays & Saturdays, volunteer shifts end at 11:15pm.
