The Improv Centre is located in the heart of Granville Island, at 1502 Duranleau Street.
The Improv Centre theatre is accessible by Translink Bus #50, Aqua Bus, False Creek Ferries, Bicycle, Motorcycle, Taxi, and Car.
Via Car
Pay parking is in effect daily from 9 AM to 10 PM, enforced by EasyPark. Payment can be made via app, PayByPhone (number on meter), or at the meter—most accept credit cards; some also accept coins. Check meters on site for details.
Parking can be busy, especially on weekends and holidays. Arrive 30–60 minutes before your show to allow time to find a spot.
There are four reserved Evo Car Share stalls, but Evo vehicles may park anywhere on the Island.
Six Level 2 (30A) EV charging stations are available in the Old Bridge Street Indoor Lot (main level).
Via Bus
Take the #50 False Creek / Granville Island bus (Olympic Village direction). It runs from Gastown and stops near Granville Island at Anderson St. and W 2nd Ave. From there, it’s just a short walk to the Island.

The Aquabus and False Creek Ferries offer quick, scenic, and affordable rides across False Creek to Granville Island. Both services connect the Island to downtown, Yaletown, Olympic Village, and other key locations—perfect for enjoying the view on your way in.

Via Bike
Bike racks are available throughout Granville Island—make sure to bring a sturdy lock. From Victoria Day to Labour Day, free monitored bike valet service is offered daily from 10 AM to 7 PM.
