Big News!

We’re upgrading our ticketing system!

We’ve been listening to what people have been saying, and we’ve got some big news. Read Thomas’ review below for a little more info about why we’re conducting this update:

“Always a fun night, with great drink options. BUT PLEASE FIX YOUR WEBSITE, THE UX IS SO BAD AND THERE ARE USUALLY PROBLEMS WITH PURCHASING TICKETS.”

Guess what, Thomas – we have good news for you. The day we fix our website is finally on the horizon! We’re working with the established ticketing software company Spektrix to upgrade your ticket-buying experience.

Spektrix's Logo

This new ticketing partnership will take our previous (somewhat convoluted) process of buying tickets to The Improv Centre events and modernize it into a seamless, easy process for everyone.

In order to make this update, our ticketing site will be down starting on July 27th at 8pm.

During this time, tickets to all shows at The Improv Centre will be unavailable for purchase. Access to your ticketing account will also be limited.

On July 31st, our exciting new ticketing experience will leap into existence! You’ll be welcomed back and invited to create a new password for your existing account – all your other customer data will be there waiting for you.

Thank you for your patience during this process. And thank you to everyone who may have felt like Thomas did, but pushed through to enjoy big laughs at The Improv Centre.

We look forward to welcoming you to our new system soon!

FAQ

When does Spektrix go live on your website?

Our new ticketing experience will be available starting on July 31st. Woo woo!

Will the transition affect ticket purchases?

Yes. Tickets will be unavailable for purchase starting on July 27th at 8pm. All existing purchases will remain valid. Tickets will be available again starting July 31st.

Will buying tickets be easy to navigate?

You betcha! Spektrix’s software promises a user-friendly experience. We’re confident that our patrons (looking at you, Thomas) will appreciate the streamlined purchasing experience with Spektrix.

What happens to my existing ticketing account and password?

All accounts from our old ticketing platform will be migrated to Spektrix. When you log in for the first time after we've activated our new software, you’ll be prompted to set a new password, or you can choose to use Spektrix’s password-free login options. Your username on Spektrix will be the same email address you used for our previous ticketing system.

Will my personal information be safe during this transition?

Spektrix serves as a data processor, so all the private data you store with The Improv Centre stays secure with us. This means this new software will not alter, manipulate, or interact with your data in any way. Spektrix is SO 27001 certified (the internationally recognised gold standard in information security) and adheres to the latest standards for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving its information security management system.

What will happen to my existing Class Passes or Gift Certificates?

They'll be transferred and still be valid with our new ticketing experience. If you have trouble locating items that should be in your account, please reach out to our box office team for assistance.

I have a voucher I was given for tickets. Will it still work?

All vouchers, courtesy certificates & gift certificates will still be valid after our Spektrix migration as long as they are not expired. Courtesy & gift certificates will continue to be redeemed online when making a purchase. To redeem a voucher, please contact our box office at boxoffice@theimprovcentre.ca or at 604-738-7013 with your preferred show and the control/pass numbers printed on your voucher. We'll take it from there!

What if I have trouble with this new system?

I've found a charge from something called Adyen on my credit card statement. What is this?

Adyen is Spetkrix's payment service provider. So this is why the name Adyen may appear on customer statements. Please do not contact Adyen for support or questions regarding any payments to The Improv Centre – reach out to us directly at boxoffice@theimprovcentre.ca!
