About Us

The Improv Centre is a live comedy venue on Granville Island in Vancouver, BC, offering fast-paced, unscripted performances by the best comedic improvisers in the biz. 

Internationally recognized for our flagship Theatresports™ shows, we offer audiences the chance to jump into the action through lively participation, all within the intimacy of our waterfront theatre.

Our venue also provides improv classes and workshops for all skill levels, supporting entertainment and arts education in the community.

We’re a registered charitable organization dedicated to showcasing the art of improvisation to local and visiting audiences in Vancouver.

As part of our charitable mandate, we offer community groups and cultural partners special shows and use of our venue.

We also offer free educational workshops, drop-ins, and offer financial aid opportunities for qualifying students.
